Honest MADE Centre — Kuta, South Lombok, Indonesia

From the river to the classroom.

Ask a child in South Lombok where plastic waste goes, and until recently the honest answer was: nowhere. It piles up, it burns, it washes away. The idea that waste could become something valuable — something you'd actually want — simply wasn't visible anywhere on the island.

Now it's visible in their classroom.

At the Honest MADE centre in Kuta, plastic recovered by our bin routes and collector network is washed, shredded and manufactured into school furniture: desks, chairs and tables built to handle island heat, humidity and two decades of school life. Recycled plastic doesn't rot, doesn't rust, and doesn't mind the rain — it's honestly a better material for the job than what it replaces.

Each delivery comes with an education session, so students learn what their new desks are made of and where that plastic was collected — often from their own village. It's circular economy taught not from a textbook, but from the thing they're leaning on while they read it.

For our buyers, this is the most visible answer to "where does my 10% go?" — photographed, documented and reported with every impact statement.

"Kids sit at desks made from their own island's waste. That lesson lasts longer than any poster."
