Every Honest Ocean order contributes 10% of its value to this system, and local households join through the collection programme. That funding deploys infrastructure across four key impact areas — and the results are visible: cleaner streets, cleaner rivers, and less waste reaching landfill or the ocean.

Dust and debris are a constant issue across Kuta. Our street sweeper runs three days a week, 5:00–8:00 AM, covering the Kuta area — improving cleanliness, air quality and the overall environment before the day begins.

River Barriers
Stopping waste before it reaches the ocean
Launching Oct 2026
Starting October 2026 — the wet season, when river plastic peaks — we install Lombok's first river barriers, intercepting plastic and waste at the final point before it enters the ocean. Combined with the collection programme, it's a two-layer solution: reduce waste at source, capture what escapes. We're currently seeking businesses and partners to sponsor barriers.

Glass Recycling System
Turning waste into resource

Glass is one of Lombok's most overlooked waste streams — with little recycling infrastructure, it usually ends up in landfill. Our glass crushing system transforms waste glass into usable sand, repurposed locally for concrete, construction, terrazzo and design applications. Closing the loop, on island.
