Blend-in ratioMost customers start at 30–50% rHDPE with virgin and move to 100% once colour and wall thickness are dialled in. The grade runs neat on standard equipment.
PurgingPurge with virgin HDPE or a commercial purge compound before and after — recycled grades carry more volatiles, so vent barrels properly.
Screen pack80/120 mesh screen recommended on extrusion lines. Contamination is controlled at source, but a screen protects your die.
OdourLow-odour grade. If odour is critical (food packaging), run a 20°C lower melt and increase venting; we can supply an odour-treated lot on request.

NucleationGrade is un-nucleated. Add 0.1–0.2% nucleating agent if you need faster cycle times or higher stiffness on thin-wall parts.
Gate & ventingStandard PP gate sizing. Ensure good venting — PCR PP releases slightly more volatiles than virgin at the higher melt temps.
Blend-in ratioRuns neat. For food-contact applications start at 50% with virgin FDA PP and validate migration before going to 100%.
RegrindUp to 20% in-house regrind can be added without measurable MFR drift on this grade.

IV dropExpect 0.02–0.04 dl/g IV loss through a well-dried process. Under-drying is the most common cause of hazy, brittle parts — verify dryer dew point before every run.
Bottle-to-bottleFor preforms, blend 25–50% with virgin bottle-grade PET initially. Full-rPET preforms run well with a 5°C lower melt and slightly longer dry cycle.
Sheet & thermoformingIdeal for APET sheet at 0.80 IV. Use a vented extruder or crystallised feed to control moisture.
PurgingPurge with virgin PET; never leave rPET static in a hot barrel — degradation is fast above 290°C.
